Savor is a full-day experience in my home kitchen
A space to slow down, learn something meaningful, and spend time around the table with a small group of people. We'll work with sourdough from start to finish, talk about ingredients in a way that actually makes sense, and share meals together in a relaxed, unhurried setting.
We'll begin by starting and feeding your sourdough starter. The one you'll take home and continue to grow.
From there, we'll mix dough together and walk through the process in a way that actually makes sense — what to look for, what matters, and what doesn't. You'll work with dough in different stages so you can see how it all comes together, including shaping, scoring, and baking.
Sourdough doesn't stop at bread
We'll spend time talking about how to use sourdough discard in everyday baking — something many of you have asked about.
Together, we'll make a simple sourdough discard cookie, so you leave with a practical, approachable way to use what would otherwise be thrown away.
This is where Savor is different
We'll talk about:
- flour
- quality
- ingredients
- fermentation and digestion
- and why traditional methods matter
So instead of just following a recipe, you'll understand what you're doing — and why it works.
Savor is for you if:
No prior experience needed
You've been curious about sourdough but don't know where to start
You want to understand why things work, not just follow steps
You value real ingredients and thoughtful food
You're craving a slower, more meaningful experience
You've been wanting to learn how to use sourdough discard in everyday baking
You're ready to slow down and spend a day doing something just for you
The Table
Lunch and dinner are part of the experience.
You'll be served simple, thoughtful meals made with the same philosophy behind everything I create at The Little Bread Box — real ingredients, prepared with care.
We'll sit down together, slow down, and enjoy the kind of meals that remind you how good food can feel.
